The EU Calls On Sweden To Apply The EU Regulations On International Students And Researchers Correctly

In the letter, the Commission reiterates its position that Sweden does not completely extend fair treatment in terms of social security to non-EU nationals protected by Directive (EU) 2016/801 and to Swedish nationals.
At the beginning of this month, the December violation package was issued by the EU Commission, which will take legal action against the Member States for failure to comply with their obligations under EU law.
The Commission also sent Slovenia a reasoned opinion, inter alia, after its authorities failed to inform Slovenia of the implementation of the EU Passenger Name Record (PNR) Directive on the use of passenger name record data for serious crime prevention, calvinmclean.qhub.com identification, investigation and prosecution.
It also sent reasoned opinions to the governments of Bulgaria, Croatia, Latvia and Slovenia on the failure to apply the rules on the provision of EU-wide multimodal travel information services, which direct the Member States to provide travelers with an overview of all their travel choices, while at the same time highlighting the most sustainable ones.
Moreover, the Commission is also closing another 138 cases in which the disputes with the Member States concerned have been settled without the need for the Commission to investigate the procedure further.
