We need to see more of this success reciprocated in many parts of Uganda, which remains uncovered as a result of lack of web penetration, scarcity of IT assets to enable creativity from underserved rural areas. The Ugandan government, civil society in coalition with the private sector should champion improvement of ICT in the country.

Cavendish University Uganda was established and started operation in 2008 through it mom University Cavendish College Zambia below the Cavendish Africa Group of Universities. CUU was licensed to function in Uganda by the Nationwide Council for Larger Schooling in June 2008 however this license expired and KIUvarsity the College is making ready to apply for a Charter ship in order to compete favourably. For the University to achieve the standing of a charter, it has to fit the requirements of National Council of upper Training which is a regulatory body within the Nation that screens the operations and actions of Universities.

Issues that had formerly been decided behind closed doorways have been discussed brazenly; matters that had once been determined by consultants have been made topic to the favored will. For some people it was hugely empowering. For others - especially for civil servants and other professionals - the Amin government’s aggressive populism was a mortal threat.
